The last bastion of our country’s freedom typifies the province of Bataan. April 9, 1942 commemorates the Fall of Bataan when American forces and Filipino fighters made their last stand, ferociously defending the Philippines from Japanese invaders. “With heads bloody but unbowed, they have yielded to the superior force and numbers of the enemy.
April 9, 1942 is also known as a “Day of Infamy” memorializing the start of the horrifying Death March of both American and Filipino defenders from Bataan to Capas, Tarlac.
On this day, all Filipinos will dredge up into memory a portion of the fearless radio message written by Captain Salvador P. Lopez and broadcasted by 3rd Lieutenant Norman Reyes over the Voice of Freedom radio from Malinta Tunnel in Corregidor:
“Bataan has fallen, but the spirit that made it stand—a beacon to all the liberty-loving peoples of the world—cannot fall!”
In similar fashion, CareHealth Plus became a resolute beacon, this time to all health-loving people of Bataan, by establishing its branch office in the province’s capital city of Balanga.
Located at 320 Four JAMC Building, Magsaysay St., San Jose, Balanga City, CareHealth Plus-Balanga opened its doors in 2016 with its pioneer Branch Manager (now Area Marketing Manager) Luz Mari D. Cabral leading CareHealth’s very first offensive thereby establishing a firm foothold on the arena of the health care market in Bataan. CareHealth Plus-Balanga is presently headed by Branch Manager Marielle D. Cabral. Providing full support are two Registered Nurses serving as Care & Operations Assistants, Rechelle I. Dela Cruz and Josedy S. Dabu. Sales Agency Managers, Sales Group Managers and Sales Counselors form the composite marketing team of the branch. CareHealth Plus members fully rely on the medical services of prestigious hospitals as well as noted physicians and diagnostic centers in the city, as follows: AFFILIATED HOSPITALS-Bataan Doctors Hospital and Medical Center, Bataan Peninsula Medical Center, Centro Medico de Santisimo Rosario, Inc. (blanket accreditation), Isaac Catalina Medical Center, Orion St. Michael Hospital. LABORATORIES AND CLINICS- EDGT Lab Tech, Ilaya Medical Clinic and Laboratory, LifeCare MediClinic, Better Care Diagnostic Lab, BioCare laboratory(Orion), MD Batol Clinical Laboratory & Medical Clinic(Bagac), Lab1 Diagnostic Center(Mariveles)
Supervision of CareHealth Plus-Balanga is attended to by Assistant Vice President & Division Head, Robert C. Tubera in coordination with First Vice President Noel B. Yap, Chief Marketing Officer-Regular Sales. Never lacking full support for its undeniably aggressive sales efforts, CareHealth Plus-Balanga will assuredly be one of the contenders for topnotch results. Indeed, the rallying spirit that made CareHealthPlus-Balanga stand will never fail!
Situated along the coastline, Balanga City is 124-kilometers distant from Manila with a three and a half up to four hours road travel via the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and through Pampanga. Land travel, however, has been shortened into only a 50-minute ferry ride across Manila Bay, when the 1Bataan Integrated Transport System opened in December 2017 and introduced the airconditioned M/V XGC Express Ferry Boat with classy accommodations comparable to airplane amenities. The ferry travels from Esplanade Seaside Terminal behind Mall of Asia in Pasay City to the Capinpin Port in Orion, Bataan.
Primarily a residential-agricultural city, Balanga is known for its health consciousness, judging from its novel anti-smoking campaigns within the city where the sales and use of tobacco are strictly enforced with onerous penalties for violators. Present-day Balanga has transformed into a high-tech city and a commercial haven for investors. It is now a continuously expanding center for trade, commerce, education and tourism.
The word Balanga originates from the Tagalog word bañga (clay pot), which the town used to produce and, which was among the best that can be found in the country. In December 30, 2000, Balanga was inaugurated as a City.
