Iloilo-SM Branch

From the start of its operations, CareHealth Plus Systems International, Inc. has earmarked Iloilo City as one of its pioneer branches. CareHealth Plus-Iloilo broke ground in September 2015 with its pioneer Branch Manager, Elvin Piansay, spearheading the foothold of the company in the historic city of Iloilo, nicknamed “the Heart of the Philippines”, situated as it is in the center of the Philippine archipelago.

As one of the major urban centers of the country, Iloilo City serves as a convenient stopover for local visitors and tourists heading to the adjacent provinces of Antique, Capiz, Aklan and the nearby island province of Guimaras. A select group solidifies CareHealth Plus-Iloilo into a cohesive sales team of 94 Sales Counselors and 38 Sales Group Managers led by 14 Sales Agency Managers. For the previous two (2) months of November and December 2017, the team brought in a noteworthy 2,655,349 TCP along with 312,854 ICBI. The branch and the entire sales organization of CareHealth Plus-Iloilo are effectively managed by Magi M. Martinez, Marketing Division Head.

Even as we go to Press, Iloilo City celebrates in gaiety its unique Dinagyang Festival, touted to be the province’s Mardi Gras, replicating Cebu’s Sinulog Fest and Kalibo’s Ati-Atihan celebrations in honor of the Sto. Niño. The Dinagyang Festival is both a religious and cultural festivity in Iloilo City, held every fourth Sunday of January. History notes that the Dinagyang also commemorates the arrival of Malay settlers from Borneo in the island of Panay and the subsequent selling of the island to them by the Atis, the local natives of the island. Iloilo was then known as “Irong-Irong”, an Ilonggo term for “nose”, in depiction of the “tongue of land sticking out like a nose on the south of the Iloilo river.”
