Baguio City – “The Summer Capital of the Philippines” – nestles majestically in the mountains of the Cordillera region, more than 1,500 meters (5,000 feet) above sea level. The city is the regional center of the country’s Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). In like manner, Baguio remains as the focal point of business, commerce and education in Northern Luzon especially after its conversion into a chartered city in September 1909 and rising from then on to becoming a “Highly Urbanized City” in December 1979.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the city’s brisk business environment and influx of international and domestic tourists, vacationers and the ever-increasing student population, CareHealth Plus Systems International trailblazed its way to Baguio’s mountain resort in March 2016. Our chic Senior Marketing Manager, Connie V. Fernandez, heads the present CareHealth Plus Team of 8 Sales Agency Managers (SAM), 32 Sales Group Managers (SGM) and 102 Sales Counselors (SC). The Branch Care & Operations Assistant (COA),Kathleen Cay H. Liwag, completes the powerful cast of our local branch personnel, supported by its indisputably dedicated Vice President & Senior Division Head, Normita “Norie” P. Sahagun. The branch holds office at Room 401, Jose N. De Leon Building along Baguio’s hustling short stretch of Session Road.
The “petmalu wer-pa” of CareHealth Plus-Baguio is remarkably demonstrated by its sales output in 2017, when the branch delivered an awesome P22.8 million TCP with P6.0 Million ICBI and close to 1,600 NOP. Medical services availed of by CareHealth Plus Cardholders are efficiently provided by the prestigious local hospitals of Saint Louis University Hospital Of The Sacred Heart,Notre Dame De Chartres Hospital,Cordillera Integrated Medical Services, Inc. First-rate Diagnostic Centers and Laboratories abound in the city: Benguet Corporation Laboratories, Inc., Family Polyclinic & Laboratory, Inc., Baguio Stone Center, One Alpha Laboratories, Hi-Precision Diagnostics. CareHealth Plus-Baguio draws its strength from an uncommon resilience in hurdling all odds, a characteristic trait of the native indigenous “Cordillerans”, notably exhibited after the entire city scrambled to rise from its ruins after the devastating July 16,1990 Luzon earthquake (magnitude 7.8). As a tribute to this gargantuan effort of the city’s rehabilitation, Baguio – the “City of Pines” – celebrates its unique “Panagbenga Festival”. Held during the entire month of February, Panagbenga is considered as one of the most popular tourist attraction.
Literally adapted from the native Kankanaey word, Panagbenga means “season of blooming”. True to its meaning, Panagbenga showcases a breath-taking display of floats, fully decorated with varieties of beautiful flowers, accompanied by street dancing and merry-making by people adorned with flower-themed costumes. It’s all about flowers in bloom!!
As the Ilocanos say: “Umay kayon ditoy Nalamiis, Napintas ken Nabanglo nga Baguio”!!MABUHAY, CareHealth Plus-Baguio!!
