Known simply as Monumento, the Andres Bonifacio Monument is a popular icon memorializing Andres Bonifacio, the Founder and Supremo of the revolutionary KKK or Katipunan.
At a height of 45 feet (14 meters) and with symbolic features and images depicting the “Cry of Balintawak,” the monument is acclaimed as one of the best in the world. For most in the know, KKK is synonymous with Andres Bonifacio and is the acronym for “Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan” (Supreme and Venerable Society of the Children of the Nation).
